Frontierline Forms Feature Overview: Everything Contact Form 7 Can Do

A complete overview of every feature in Frontierline Forms, the Contact Form 7 (CF7) extension plugin. Confirmation and completion screens, multi-step forms, database logging of submissions, and full CSV export are free. Slack/Chatwork/Google Sheets notifications, automatic email replies, and encrypted storage are Pro. With admin screen screenshots, see at a glance what each feature does.

Frontierline Forms is an extension plugin that adds confirmation screens, notification integrations, submission logs, CSV export, and more to Contact Form 7 (CF7) — entirely through the settings screen. You don’t need to rebuild your existing CF7 forms; you simply add the features on top.

This article organizes every feature into one overview, showing which ones are free, which are Pro, and what each admin screen looks like. For step-by-step instructions on any individual feature, check the dedicated guides linked at the end of this article.

What Is Frontierline Forms?

CF7 is lightweight and highly flexible, but it doesn’t include, out of the box, the kind of features real-world use requires — confirmation screens, external notifications, and storage of submitted data. Building these yourself ties the code to your theme, creating ongoing maintenance work every time you touch your forms.

Frontierline Forms fills that gap by providing these features as settings in the admin screen. You never need to modify your CF7 form definitions — you just switch features on and off.

Features Available for Free

You can try out the value of this plugin at no cost with the following four features. Each one is enabled entirely from the settings screen.

Confirmation and Completion Screens

Adds a confirmation step where visitors can review their input before submitting, plus a completion screen (thank-you page) after submission. This prevents incorrect contact details and accidental mid-entry submissions, improving the quality of the inquiries you receive.

The completion screen can also serve as a conversion tracking point for GA4.

Multi-Step Forms

Splits long application or quote-request forms into multiple steps, reducing drop-off. There is no limit on the number of steps.

Combined with the confirmation screen, you can build a full “input → confirm → submit → complete” flow entirely for free.

Database Storage of Submission Logs

Saves the contents of every form submission to the WordPress database. Even if an email fails to arrive or gets overlooked, you can still review past submissions from the admin screen.

Full CSV Export

Exports all accumulated submission logs as a single UTF-8 (with BOM) CSV file. It opens in Excel without garbled characters, so you can reuse it for aggregation or sharing lists.

Pro Version Features

External service integrations and more advanced data handling are provided in the Pro version. These features are built for teams handling inquiries together, and for agencies managing multiple sites or projects.

Slack and Chatwork Notifications

Sends form submissions to your chat tool in real time. This eliminates missed emails and ensures the whole team notices new inquiries as they come in.

You can specify which fields to include and which channel to notify from the settings screen, and even route notifications to different destinations depending on the type of inquiry.

Google Sheets Integration

Automatically appends submitted data to a specified spreadsheet. This makes aggregation and sharing happen in real time and eliminates manual data entry.

Automatic Email Replies

Automatically sends a confirmation-of-receipt email to the person who submitted the form. This automates the first response right after an inquiry comes in, preventing lost opportunities.

Encrypted Storage and Advanced Security

Encrypts submitted content before storing it, increasing the security of forms that handle personal information.

Even with the free version alone, you get the “core essentials” of a form: confirmation screens, multi-step flow, submission logging, and CSV export.

The most efficient approach is to start with the free version, then move to Pro once you need team notifications or data integrations. For pricing and plan details, see the product page.

Getting Started

Setup takes just three steps. If your site already uses CF7, you won’t need to rebuild any forms.

  1. Install and activate: Install Frontierline Forms on WordPress and activate it. If CF7 is already installed, no additional preparation is needed.
  2. Turn on the features you want: In the settings screen, enable the features you want to use (confirmation screens, notifications, log storage, and so on).
  3. Confirm with a test submission: Submit the form yourself to verify that the confirmation screen displays correctly, notifications arrive, and the log is recorded.
